Picking my 100 favorite films was hard enough. Ranking them? Impossible.
Therefore I'll be presenting them in alphabetical order. Also, very important to note...quoting the amazing Priscilla Page -
"...first and foremost, I never intend for this list to be an objective, declarative statement on film... I just want to share what I loved, what moved me, what helped me, what was fun to watch — in short, the movies I want other people to get their eyeballs on if they haven’t already."
Rosemary's Baby (1968)

A masterclass on filmmaking. The framing of this shot is genius. A predecessor to 70s paranoia cinema, and horribly ripped off in 2018's HEREDITARY. |
The Royal Tenenbaums (2001)
 |
Still my favorite Wes Anderson film due in large part to the genius performance by Gene Hackman. |
Saving Private Ryan (1998)
 |
The film's present day bookends nearly ruin it for me, but the rest of the film is so damn well done I can deal with the schmaltz. Why Steven? Why? Let your films and stories speak for themselves. |

David Fincher's best film? Maybe. But then again, I'm a sucker for a police procedural. |
Sign O' The Times (1987)
 |
I was lucky enough to see Prince in concert five times. This concert film is the closest you'll get to witnessing his incredible stage presence. He OWNS the stage. This is available on blu-ray, but if you get the chance to see it in a theater, Do. Not. Miss. It. I guarantee the crowd will be singing along and cheering as though it were live. It's an experience not to miss. |
